The main HR and Training award season is upon us again and once again Towards Maturity is proud to be one of the headline sponsors for the e-learning awards run by Bizmedia - it is great to be part of an industry opportunity to share success and inspire others.

In our own research over the years on e-learning take-up, we have found that for businesses, having L&D successes recognised externally directly correlates with the take up of learning internally. For providers, a survey by Boost Marketing has highlighted 81% of 400 organisations admitted to being influenced by awards in the purchase of HR and training services.

As Chris Robinson from Boost Marketing points out - 'entering awards is sanity not vanity!' and over the next 2 months, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with UK awards. Here is a round up of some of the top awards:

Institute of IT Training - submission deadline 30th September 

We are really pleased to see a new catagory for Learning Technology solution of the year this year which reflects the changes we are seeing in industry at the moment. Instructional Designer of the year is also new.Other catagories include internal project, external project, Training company and training department.


eLearning Awards (Bizmedia) - submission deadline: 31st July

Catagories include:

  • The most innovative new product or tool in e-learning
  • Excellence in the production of learning content - Private Sector (NEW)
  • Excellence in the production of learning content - Public Sector (NEW)
  • Excellence in the production of learning content - Not for Profit Sector (NEW) 
  • Meeting the needs of compliance for an external regulator or an internal workforce 
  • The best e-learning project securing widespread adoption 
  • Best use of mobile learning (NEW)
  • The best use of rapid e-learning content 
  • The best use of synchronous e-learning
  • The best online or distance learning programme 
  • The best learning game, simulation or virtual environment
  • E-learning internal project team of the year 
  • E-learning development company of the year 
  • E-learning industry award for outstanding achievement - individual 
  • E-learning industry award for outstanding achievement - corporate

People Management Awards (CIPD) - submission deadline: 5th June 
Whilst these are predominantly HR awards, it would be great to see a technology enabled solution win the Learning and Development category where they are looking for a strong link from the L&D solution back to business growth

Personnel Today Awards (RBI) - submission deadline: 5th June

Specifically, their award for Excellence in Learning and Development – looking for the business benefits of new approaches to learning
 
Human Capital Awards (CBI/Real FD) - submission deadline: Early July

Categories include – innovation, service, education skills and leadership, managing change all of which might be relevant to those with an innovative approach to building business success with learning technology.
