How do we deliver more for less in learning without compromising quality?
Technology opens up new systems, communication platforms and distribution channels for learning and collaboration that can significantly enhance the learning professional’s toolkit.
Today’s promises of technology include:
- Be more responsive to changing business needs
- Get staff up & running (& changing direction) faster than ever before
- Extend reach, breadth and depth of learning offering
- Whilst saving time & money
According to the CIPD, e-learning is the fastest growing learning intervention in 2010 but only 12% rate it as effective. On the other hand, our own benchmarks flag up that some (but not all!) are finding that it helps to improve responsiveness to changing business needs, delivers better quality, faster induction processes. The promise is within reach but how do we deliver ( and deliver it faster)?
How to accelerate the promise was discussed at WOLCE 2010 this year at a a free seminar where we considered some facts and figures from our research over the years to look at what we need to improve (& to dispell a few myths that could be holding us back!)
