Work based e-learning project at e-skills UK

The work-based e-learning project at e-skills UK was originally established to understand employer demand for e-learning. The project supported both employers and  the Skills for Business Network in the appropriate use of technology to build skills that impact business performance through the provision of expert advice and guidance, supported by appropriate and accessible tools and information.

The e-skills UK project was a key componet of the work-based e-learning (WBEL) Action Plan. The Action Plan was part of the joint Learning and Skills Council(LSC)/Department for Education and Skills (DfES) Post 16 E-learning Programme to deliver the DfES e-strategy.

The activities of the e-skills UK project were funded by the LSC and latterly by the Quality Improvement Agency to provide information via their Excellence Gateway.
